Traye Carson,The  5’7 145lbs from Westside High School is starting to turn a few heads his way, all the while breaking a few ankles along the way. The Sophomore who plays both varsity football, basketball and has a 4.2 GPA. He was born and raised in Anderson, SC. His parents are Michael & Nikki Carson and has one sister, Sierra Carson.


“My goal in football is to continue playing the sport that I love and remain humble. I credit my parents for always supporting me mentally, physically and spiritually in anything I have chosen to do”,Carson said.  Traye Carson Highlights

While Quickness,Vision and Balance seem to be his biggest attributes. There’s no shortage of focus and discipline in this young man.”When I graduate in 2019, I plan on attending a 4 year university”. Traye also added,”I would also like to follow in my father’s footsteps and explore the possibility of military service with the United States Marine Corp following College.”

When I asked Traye about the make up of his team he said,” Being a part of the program at Westside means a lot to me. We are not just a team, we are family. We are all like brothers and we have chemistry with each other.” Carson said it really hit him that he could play at such a high level when,”my coaches began to believe in me and started putting me in positions where I could be the most effective and successful.I thank God for all that he has blessed me to be able to do in life. I have always been a competitor and loved playing sports.”


“Coach Earley and our whole coaching staff work hard at making sure that we train hard and play harder. It is a matter of pride at Westside.”
